3 questions to ask yourself when working on your weight loss transformation

“I’ve been trying to lose weight for ages and it just doesn’t happen! It’s really hard for me! I have no self control and always end up binging and re-starting.”

If you’ve thought that weight loss is super difficult – I’m here to lovingly correct you.

Weight loss can feel heavy (pun intended) when you’re making the process heavy.

But it doesn’t have to be. Not if you’re smart about it. 

The first step to getting your health in order is to create a plan, routine and timing of eating and working out that’s going to feel good for you.

Not what you’ve heard is good for you, or what your friend is doing, but what feels intuitively good to you and lands in your mind and body.

If you don’t like your plan or you’re not convinced it’s going to get you results, you likely won’t stick to it. 

And if you don’t like it, that makes it hard and heavy.

The 3 questions I always ask when designing a weight loss plan for my clients are:


  1. Is the plan going to get you to the goal that you want? Have you given yourself enough time/are you being reasonable?


  1. Do you actually enjoy the foods and workout types you’re planning? If you’re not in love with the plan, it’s going to be hard to stick to. (That’s why low-carb dieting isn’t sustainable…because literally everybody loves carbs…)


  1. Is it easy to stick to your life’s demands? (if you work 60 hour weeks and have kids, you’re likely not going to be able to cook all meals…be realistic)

If the answer to any of these 3 questions is no, it’s going to feel heavy.

Align your strategy with your unique body type, lifestyle, likes and dislikes. Remember – you don’t serve your diet. Your diet serves you.
